Most, maybe all, men could benefit from a regular stretching and relaxation routine. We create a welcoming space where men can be themselves. Join us to explore a yoga class where grunting, groaning, and laughing is all part of the experience.
Our Men's Yoga Series is 5 weekly classes that introduce men to the benefits of a regular yoga practice. It starts off with a Hatha-style introduction class and builds thematically through Spine-focused, Angle Series, Hips and Restorative, and ends with a 'challenge' class.
Every class will meet each practitioner where they are in their body. Throughout the class, extensions and modifications will be offered depending on individual needs and goals.
Showing up to a class is entirely half of yoga practice, the rest is just breathing.
What's the same?
Yoga positions and flows will be familiar to anyone who has practiced yoga even a little. Beginners will be welcomed and assisted as needed.
Classes give time and space to stretch the muscles and mind.
Using tools and props to support and challenge each individual's unique yoga practice.
What's different?
No chanting, less Sanscrit, more attention paid to the 'masculine' energy and experience.
Emphasis on muscle groups used by men and a focus on conditioning the body for men's interests and activities.
